Meet the CCBE Executive
President: Sean T. Craig Sr.
Sean graduated from the Computer Electronics Technology program at Herzing College in 1992 and spent the next two decades in Information Technology. In 2011, he graduated from the Radio Broadcasting program at Algonquin College and was hired by Bell Media as the Engineer for CFJR/CJPT in Brockville. In 2014, he accepted a transfer to the Peterborough/Lindsay market to look after CKPT, CKQM & CKLY. Sean enjoys darts, billiards, bowling and poker and also serves as a Vice-President of his local branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. Ron began his career in 1977 with Newfoundland Broadcasting Ltd., in Corner Brook. In 1987, he joined Western Broadcasting, Corner Brook, which later became a Newcap Station. In 1997 Ron joined Rogers Broadcasting in Toronto, and is currently working with Durham Radio Inc. Ron is an SBE Certified Professional Broadcast Engineeer. Jason graduated as an Electronics Engineering Technician from DeVry in 1997. He started his career as a field technician working on money handling equipment for Robar Cash Systems, now De La Rue Cash Systems. From there, he has worked in various sectors including retail sales, in-home service, and factory work. He started his radio career in 2009 with Rogers in Kitchener, Ontario and currently works for Durham Radio in Hamilton. He also provides support for Mohawk College's CIOI, McMaster University's CFMU and CHES in Erin, Ontario. He is a member of the SBE and is working on certification as a CBNT. Russ graduated from the Broadcast Engineering program at Loyalist College in 2015. After graduating, he landed a summer position at Bell Media Ottawa in the engineering department. He accepted his first full time job in Fort St John as a radio engineer. He then went on to work for other radio companies such as Evanov and Starboard communications until his current role as Chief Engineer for Corus radio in the Ottawa/Cornwall/Pembroke region. Jim was an Electronics Engineering Graduate from Confederation College in 1984. Soon afterwards, he began working for Dougall Media where he was able to work in both Television and Radio Broadcasting; starting at the ground floor in designing, installing and maintaining of studios and transmitter sites. In 2021 Jim was promoted to Television Operations Manager as well as maintaining his work with Engineering staff. Larry Keats is an electronics technology graduate from Conestoga College. After working in radio in Kitchener, Guelph, and Hamilton he went to CHUM Radio in Toronto (now part of Bell Media) where he became Manager of Toronto Transmission Engineering until his retirement in 2015. Harrie is an Electronics Technologist graduate of Sheridan who started his broadcast career in '83 with CFRA/CFMO. He became Chief Engineer in 1994 and added CJMJ (Magic 100) and CFGO (TSN 2000) in 2000 as part of a massive facilities move that saw four radio and one television station come together in Ottawa. After joining Bell Media CHVR Pembroke and CJPT, CFJR Brockville were added to his portfolio. Harrie is now consulting while also enjoying his hobbies of amateur radio and flying. Adam Robinson is a 25+ year radio veteran with experience on both sides of the mic. He began his career running a number of local newsrooms in the GTA while learning the ropes of Engineering from some of the best in the business. A long time Director of Engineering, Adam went out on his own in 2018, founding Robinson Broadcast Services and partnering with Ron Paley Broadcast as an Engineering and AoIP consultant to the broadcast industry. From small meetings to large conferences and anything in between, Valerie enjoys all aspects of corporate event planning to ensure the client, sponsors and speakers shine. Privileged to have spent much of her career in broadcasting, she has had the good fortune to work on promotional sales campaigns, incentive travel programs, internal and external events, training programs and conferences. Always happy to bring people together, she works with multiple industry organizations on their event management, award programs and sponsorships sales.
